    Has anyone heard what packers are paying this year?

    I believe the maple news reported that Golden is fetching $2.60 and the other table grades are at $2.50. Also a lovely quote from Pete Roth about how he's not sure what he'll be willing to pay, given the good Wisconsin crop, something about not needing to go looking for it on streetcorners.

    The published Quebec Federation prices are $3.00/lb GD, $2.96 AR and $2.89 DR in $ Canadian. At today's rates you divide by $1.26 for $USD.

    Those rates were set before the season even started so I'm unsure if they will change - especially with the Federation's warehouses almost empty. Local market economy will also vary the going rate.

    Just heard from dealer on buying. $2.60 GD & AR $2.50 DR $2.20 VD Processing $1.30 ropey $.75

    CDL , Lancaster NH is buying syrup today and tomorrow , April 29,30. I brought in about 100 gallon of dark, was paid 2.50 , 2.20 for very dark.
    44 27'08/71 27'56
    300 totalish taps 250 on tube and bosworth sap sucker
    50 bucket and bags about 40-50 gallons a season
    on a 2 by 7 home made evaporator and sugar shack
    1st gen circa 1966 still learning stuff

    99% of my customers want dark.
