    i was suprised, but not surprised at the same time. if you look back, it's kind of been in process for a year or 2
    7000 taps on vacuum, just trying to get a little better every year.

    Hopefully it is a good thing for the maple industry and for Vermont. And, I hope the Leader brand continues.

    Usually works out well for companies. Not so much for consumers. It’s the pattern of the times. Buy out enough of the competition until there’s only a handful of companies left. At that time, they could all sit down and work it out to benefit the group. Might as well be a monopoly at that point.

    Interesting, Leader has certainly been around for a long time. H2O is a huge company, the maple sector just got bigger but it's still only 1 part of their company as a whole.
    305 taps on 2 Shurflo's, 31 taps on 3/16" and 229 taps on gravity. 565 in all

    I agree with Kevin, don’t see that happening at all.
    Lots of guys doing time right now for “price fixing”.

    Can't say I'm surprised but I am pleased as H2O's engineering strength is very impressive and I've always had a soft spot for Leader.
