    Default New Brunswick 2022

Thought I would start a thread to see if any others have started yet. I have two small lines run and going to get the taps in today. Upcoming week looks to be our first good run. May have missed a couple days here and there but nothing much.

We're officially starting today. Have been frigging here & there, but will start repairing & tapping today. The next week looks promising, hopefully we've turned the corner from the cold!

I’m planning on tapping at the end of the week. I’ve relocated to the Sussex area. It’ll be interesting to see how the season goes this year.

I had my first boil on Tuesday. Had about 40 gallons which was just enough to sweeten my pans. The RO bucket is a huge time and wood saver. Hoping for good runs today and tomorrow. Good luck to everyone.

We're tapped & all the line repairs done. Now to get tanks cleaned & shack set up & straightened around. Hopefully we don't get as bad a mess as they are calling for. Would almost rather have snow, then all the rain they're talking about.

Got all my taps in. Cutting back a little this season as I have a lot of syrup left over from last season. Sap was running a little this after down here in Kings county. Y’all think it’s going to be a short season ?

I keep looking at the forecast and it seems like it could be short but hopefully not. I had a decent collection today but not like I thought it would be. I'm going to boil what I have tomorrow regardless.

We finished taping last Saturday, 675 taps. It ran a bit today, hopefully we can boil on the weekend. Good luck to every one.

How's everyone making out? I haven't collected anything since Friday. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some in. The nights just haven't been cold enough. It ran a bit today but not worth collecting.

We made about 3 gallons on the weekend, not running so good this week, looking better for next week. Sap is sweeter then last year, tested at 2.6 this weekend.
