    Default Crawford County PA 2022

Finally got tapped Tuesday 3/1. Had not had a chance to do anything for two weeks because of gout in my left foot. Chris, Sugarmaker, came down and helped me get tapped. Today get the sap guzzler set up and repair leaks. Next few days to be warm and good run.

Hi Jim, great to hear you’re tapped. Sorry I couldn’t make it. The day job keeps getting in the way of fun. We’ve boiled over 800 gallons so far. Might be done Tuesday? Good luck on your season!

Thanks Gary. I’m enjoying not doing that day job thing. Good to hear from you. Chris said you had been up to see him.

    Jim,
Your on your way now. Hope you get your vacuum pump in place as we should start to get a run today. It was running a little last night around 5:00.
Let me know if you need a hand with something!
That is a nice woods to tap! Great trees and nice slope! Your lines were in good shape! Hoping you dont have many squirrel chews to fix.

    Regards,
    Chris

    Chris,
Spent 4 hours chasing squirrel chews today. Somewhere between 30 and 40 repairs/tubing replacements.
Have the sap guzzler vacuum at 26. Need to find a few micro leaks. When it hits 28 I’m happy.
Windy tomorrow, good day to not spend much time in the woods.
After I get everything cleaned I will run those laterals to that new mainline and hopefully add 75? more taps.
