Draw the tubing off slowly or the inertia from the spin makes for a new game.
Maybe you can share a way to slow the spin rate....... we need a brake or friction idea

we used plywood, some threaded rod, a scrap plastic molding piece cut into a triangle and a hook. used some washers and some lock nuts. works great!

I tried to attach a picture but it wouldn't let me. If you email me at hopcitymaple@gmail.com I'll send you a pic.

I took some old rebar and a ball bearing and welded my own.

Bend a piece of rebar into a circle the size of your tubing roll.
Then cut three pieces for the inner part. Measure the tubing spool from the outer circle to the inner circle, this is where your first 90 degree bend goes. Then measure how tall the spool is, this is where the second 90 degree bend goes.

Weld them together at the top and weld each one to that circle you made.

Lastly weld a ball bearing to the top, then bend a piece of rebar into a hook for the mainline and weld it into the center of the bearing. I threw some sand into the bearing to add friction so that it doesn’t unspool so much when you stop.

Posting this because it was super cheap, lightweight and worked awesome. Made taking down and putting back up lines (some ~1200 foot long) super easy.
