if you are only looking for a door the size of a cinder block. Maybe buy one of those charcoal briquette starters and then cut it up the side opposite the handle and hammer it flat. That would get you a door, a heat shield and a handle. that's just an out of the box thought. you would have to measure to make sure it would cover your opening, but it could be made with a pair of tin snips and some determination.
