Go to the Honda website and check out their pump select feature. The output hole on your holding tank is your limitation. Some have 1 1/2" holes. You would be very happy with a Honda WH15 pump. Use a short run of ribbed suction from the tank to the pump. I'd recommend a metal ball valve so you could heat it without ruining it. I would run a piece of 1 1/2" green flex pipe from the pump to you line running to the sugarhouse. We pump from one station 800' with a 60' rise. When we are done pumping we have about 75 gallons of sap left in the line. We use 1 1/2" line and pump from a 788 gallon tank. I think you cold use 1" for a run to a high point then return to 1 1/2" for the drop to the sugarhouse to help reduce pressure went entering the filter. If you need some pictures of what we did let me know. Check out the pump select we found it accurate and relevant to our use. It will help you determine if you will be pumping for 10 minutes or 45 minutes (our situation was within 2 minutes of being right on with the pump select).
