    Default Walnut Trees

Just finished counting Walnut trees on one of my properties, Grand Total 610 tapable trees, because the price of Walnut lumber/verneer is off the charts some that I can't reach around will be cut! Forester tells me that the bark starts tightening up in the middle of September, great news that will leave me time to tube the rest if I choose to tap them. I have walnut's on the property where the maple sap run directly into the sugar camp. Right around 200 Walnuts, However their are some that needs cut there also. I have time now since my retirement from printing books for 41 years. Plus should be able to go from 2500 maple taps to near 4000.
