No difference that I can see. The both have the same part number but one is half the price.
First introduced to making maple syrup in 1969
Making syrup every year since 1979
3 x 10 oil fired
Revolution syrup and max flue pan
Almost 1300 taps total with 900 on high vacuum
Bought first Marcland drawoff in 1997, still going strong.
Maybe one price is the stainless the other is for the brass option.

The slinger pump has an internal vane to divert liquid from the shaft seal. You can look at the spec sheet and it gives you a breakdown of the model number. Neither of those pumps has an adjustable regulator, so you would either need to ensure the pressure does not go above what your system can handle, or build your system to be capable of 250psi.
Most of the procon brass pumps contain 1.25% lead. They are still nsf listed and some are even considered "lead free"), but if you want "zero lead" you should go with the stainless. Whether or not Pb gets transferred to your syrup will depend on how long it contacts the pump.
After doing more research the more expensive pump has FDA approved seals. That is the only difference I can see.
