    A sad goodbye. Rotten down to the bottom. Goodbye old maple.. You were a good tree

    The beetles had gotten to it and then woodpeckers and it was old. Looks like the other 2 will have to go later. Roots grew into gas lines, sewer and water.. Fates of village trees....

    Some trees you don't mind seeing go, but most leave a void that you don't care for. And then there are sugar maples, and their loss affects a sugar maker much more than all the others combined. Always sad to see one go.
