    Default White MT Maple

Interesting year temps down than way up . Ran for 3 days without a freeze . Thought I would find a full tank of sap yesterday morning as I can watch pump house with my cameras but outside apparently the wind at night broke my pvc pipe from
The releaser to the tank so it was dumping on the ground all night , hope we get another week of boiling with freeze ups at night . Syrup total so far looking like a néw low for total Gallons made in the last 20 years ,

Ya temps are all over the place, I had one good flow day and poor to average days on the rest with 2% sap or less. This looks to be a strange weather week as well. I most likely won't hit my average either.

    keep at it

Not such great news your pvc pipe broke from the wind we just had come thru. Great news it's back together and the sap is flowing good! It's doing alright down here on gravity, wishing i had vacuum like most everyone else around here.

Have you checked the sugar % from todays run?

It's good to see that you're finally getting some sap. I pulled my taps today but you should be able to keep going for another week or so if the weather cooperates.

Sugar is lucky to be 1.5. I think a week for us about right on the money .

Checked trees today pulled about 1/4 of them due to budding others were still tight.

I'd be happy with 1.5 right about now. Collected sap yesterday that was only .8 - 1%. I'll be collecting this afternoon and hauling in all my collection buckets. Boiling down the last of the sap and calling it quits.

Turning off vacuum this afternoon . Looks like it’s done . End with very clear sap and dark syrup . A strange year indeed.
