Default How often do you soap wash the membrane?

Itís my third year with RO, using a single membrane rig made by Dave Paul which removes 50gph water. I rinse / flush almost every boil, but at most Iíve washed twice during season. A local friend soap washes every boil. Iíve heard you need to wash when performance of the RO declines. I havenít been measuring the concentrate so I donít have any idea whether concentration is degrading. How often do you all wash, and whatís your method for frequency? Thanks.
    2021 is season 6.
    2016: 20 taps on buckets, 4 gallons on a borrowed 2x3.
2017: 32 taps on buckets, 8 gallons of syrup, on a "loaner" Lapierre 19x48. Makeshift 8x8 sugar shack.
2018: 80 taps with new neighbors. First time tubing. New 10x12 sugar shack, Lapierre 2x5. Made 17 gallons, sold 5.
    2019: 100 taps. 22 gallons. Added a small RO 50 gph.
2020: 145 taps, 30 gallons, sold half. Murphy cup is a great addition.
2021: tapped Feb 23, 150 taps. Aiming for 35 gallons. refractometer.

Iíll soap wash when efficiency declines by 15%. Typically after every time I use the RO Iíll flush and perform a warm water wash then flush again. So far this season I concentrated 5 times then had to soap wash. Next soap wash may be after 3 times concentrating Iím guessing.

About the same size machine. I'll wash every time I process 150 or more gallons, and just do the warm water recirc and flush if less. I run permeate into a cage tank and always take note of level when I started ROing to make sure I am near that 50gph mark.
