    Hung my buckets today. A few taps leaked!
    50 taps ave. half on buckets half on 3/16
    2x3 pan on fire brick / fieldstone arch

    Nice! I love to see a couple drips when I tap. I tapped yesterday in the snow - no drips then! I'm just north of you, in Chester. My sugar shack is around 900' elevation. I imagine you must be in the same ballpark?

    2023: 23 taps. Added AUF, 13.2 gals
    2024: 17 taps
    All on buckets

    I had a few drips today as well...funny what can get a grown man excited
    2018 - 5 reds on buckets with cinder block arch
    2019 - 25 reds on drops to buckets
    2020 - 55 reds on drops to buckets
    2021 - 80 reds on drops to buckets
    2022 - 80 reds on drops to buckets
    2023 - 80 reds, 15 on gravity, Smoky Lake StarCat Evaporator

    Taps in the sun had about a pint of sap each 24 hours later.
