Default Retox Cocktail (made with maple syrup)

    Hi!

If you like tequila drinks, may I suggest you try out the Retox Cocktail, as served at the "Rye" Restaurant in Brooklyn NY (RIP-- no longer in business).

    Retox Cocktail

    One part maple syrup
Two parts freshly squeezed lime juice
Three part Reposado tequila, your choice
    Jalapeno slice

Salt rim a glass, and muddle jalapeno slide in the glass.
Shake liquid ingredients well with ice, strain into prepared glass.

    Tell me what you think...

Hold the salt, toss the jalapeno, replace tequila with gin, keep the lime, add a little soda water and you'd have a decent drink. Put the syrup on donuts.

Okay, the cocktail challenge is on. Lets try the gin 2oz (either Beefeaters or Bombay Dry) with 3oz of either maple or black walnut sap with 3oz soda and a twist of lime. Oh yeah, kick back and let the boil begin.
