Default Drip from valve threads -how to seal?

I have a constant drip coming from the threads around my valve for emptying my pan. I tried to tighten it but it still leaks. Are there any high-heat resistant type of “plumbers” tape/putty available or other suggestions to stop the dripping?

    Thanks!

Hi Dinorocks. I have a 2x5 flat pan and used regular old teflon thread tape. Ted

Stainless on stainless can be tough because the stainless threads dont pull to eachother and seal like say for instance brass or plastic., if that's the case get yourself some good Teflon. I use blue monster or go with a gas line approved Teflon. It is thicker and fills the threads better. The white Teflon is garbage and won't fill the threads the same, it isn't worth .10c in my opinion

Blissville is right, Blue Monster is far better. Most plumbing supply houses will carry it, that's what many pro's use.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

Teflon tape for stainless fittings is thicker than for normal fittings.
