Tips For 2nd Year Membrane Use

Hello Everybody!

Last season was my first year with an RO and what a difference! At the end of the year I did a permeate flush as recommended and stored it in the refrigerator in a large sealed zip-loc bag full of permeate. Everything still looks good with no apparent bacteria growth! When I go to use it this year, do I simply do a distilled water flush similar to the first time I used it or what is the proper year 2 prep for the membrane before I use it? I am in Minnesota and have a good month or so before using it so I have some time before I do anything! Thanks for reading!

I would keep it in preservative right up until around 24 hours before you need to use it. Then I would flush it with the amount of water recommended by the manufacturer.
