Default Biggest batch in a flat pan.

What is your typical batch? I usually boil down to an inch in my flat pan at around 218 degrees. I then finished on propane and it will give me 5-6 gallons per batch.

    Default Batch size

With my old 2’x3’ flat pan my usual batch was 2-3 gallons. I also pull off and finish on propane. I’m finishing a new arch now and my new pan will be 2x4 so I should be at 4-5 gallons per batch hopefully. I shut down and add fresh sap over 2-3 days for each batch. I’m also putting together an RO kit and adding more taps so not sure this year.

We did 4 gallon batches on a antique Warren Evaporator 50 years ago. Series of flat pans.
