Plan to finish my 3/16 natural gravity runs making them longer so i can recover the sap easier from tote tanks with all this snow this year and my bulldozer i have at my other location i would clear the path so my utv could get there it still might but it will be a task,I remove most of my lines due to all the animal damage easier to remove 700-800' runs then to repair all the down chewed up lines, tapping this weekend for sure IT"S TIME !! Set the evaporator up today better then usually the day i need it great to be retired have a little more time not much though!

The temps this week look good but I'm wondering if the ground is too frozen to give us sap. Cleaned my collection tanks this week and will put them in place this weekend. Still have to clean the transport tanks and head tank. Still have to do a final cleaning of the evap. Waiting for hoses for the press and RO. As usual this year will plow out access to the property on Saturday and then figure out a game plan to get to the other areas that I need to get to. May have to have my buddy with a blower on his tractor come up. Will wait to see what Mondays weather gives us.

I went for it yesterday, we got 165 done and will finish the rest by Monday. It's going to run this week in Northwest NJ.
I did pull the trigger on a nice used Leader Micro 2 RO last week after a few years of being on the fence. Good luck everyone! The last 3 years I have made a few gallons by now, later this year than average last 3 years.

Collection tanks in place. Will start tapping on Tuesday. Ground under the snow is thawed so it should run good. A later start than the last few years. By this time last year I all ready made more than 10 gallons. Sugarwoods - I guess we will both be learning how to run the ROs. Picked up a new Micro 1

I built my RO 3 years ago used it one season now have to remember?? It makes it fun now to try n handle lots of sap for me. In years past president’s weekend I’m normally looking at 400 gallons burning 4 days straight now the RO makes it manageable
