I got a quote on that same model and I think it was $4200 fyi. Good price for a model with a recirculation pump.

Is that the RO from Smoky Lake? Jim had a video last year running one of the memprotec's I was impressed with how easy the operation was and then he did the cleaning, simple. If I were to get an RO I believe I would consider one of these.

Yes it was. I looked back at my quote and it was actually 4250 from Smoky Lake.

That's right around the point I got an RO. I went with the Deer Run EZ 125 Expandable. There are plenty of good things to read about Deer Run ROs here on the MT. The two I'll highlight are it's price - I paid $2700 for it in the summer of 2016 (and is likely not much more than that now) - and the option it gave me to expand easily. I added the second membrane this past summer bringing it up to a 250 for a little under $500.

Around 300 taps on tubing, 25+ on buckets if I put them out
Mix of natural and mechanical vac, S3 Controller from Mountain Maple
2x6 W.F. Mason with Phaneuf pans
    Deer Run 250 RO
    Ford F350
6+ hives of bees (if they make it through the winters)
Keeping the day job until I can start living the dream.

Bought my first RO - a CDL Hobby 100 GPH - two seasons ago from Fred Ahrens at Richard's Maple. (you know Fred...he's a big fan of Leader's Clear Press..)

It works just fine for my 275-300 taps. Runs on 110V, easy to move around and can be easily drained should you want to leave it out in freezing temps.
Current pricing is $2700 on CDL's site, but a dealer may be able do a bit better.
