    Default CDL Vacuum Filter

Any thoughts on the new CDL Vacuum Filter? Thinking of getting one. 100 taps using gravity filtering for 10 years. Looks like it would speed up the process and maybe clearer syrup ???

    Thanks for any input

I used the 12"one for 100 buckets this past season. I was happy with it. The clarity of the syrup seemed as good as when I had a filter press. I used DE with the filter papers. Itś for sale in the classifieds because, well, Iḿ always changing my operation.

We've tried it just to see how it worked. We use it now to filter batches when canning or to filter out infusion material or after Bourbon Barrel Aging. Works well -- simple. We don't typically use DE with it.
