Default Mt. Maple S3 Controller system

We just finished our first year with Mt. Maple's diaphragm pump controller system. It worked just like it's supposed to and kept sap flowing from the trees long after our bucket taps dried up. We pair ours with a transfer pump to move the sap uphill to a roadside collection point. It is way better than carrying sap!

Also, Dave's customer service is incredible! He's always there to answer questions and he visited my sugarbush more than once to make sure everything was working properly.

Hope to convert more trees to tubing next year!

I second that customer service! Came to the rescue when I couldn't get the pump going during a sap run. Brought a replacement pump to get me up and running. Controller has worked flawlessly the last three years.

Ditto on the S3. Dave is always available to answer questions and offer fixes. The S3 is perfect for remote setups.

    I'll chime in as well.

This was my first year with the S3 controller and Transfer pump.
My bush us flat, and requires vacuum. I tapped about 70 trees, 85% reds and averaged well over 25 gallons sap per tree. I had 6 lines to a manifold on the S3 and consistently had well over 20". On slow days I used a recirc line to keep the vac elevated. I couldn't have been happier.

The sap transfer system automatically moved sap from my collection barrel (55 gal plastic barrel) to my IBC tote with fluid level sensors and automatic transfer. It was beyond easy and highly effective.

On another note, Dave was super helpful and went above to guide me through setup and operation.

With the ease of this system, I'll hopefully add another 10-20 taps for next season as a LOT of the work is done automatically.

I'm a happy customer and would highly recommend Dave's system.

I agree that the S3 is great system. I am running 12v on my systems and have a couple of issues unrelated to the controller. The adjust ability of the system helped me through the year. I am setting up a test system in my garage and will have lots of data to share.
