So we went with a carlin 201, and a 4 gph 60 degree solid nozzle, I shortened the ramp and added a firewall,
removed all fire bricks and grates, and the aou/auf system. We threw the switch
and at the 9 minute mark both pans are at a full boil! The flue pan actually boils all the way to the back now, it boils so hard we had to cut the air injection way down to keep steam in the hood, shutdown looks super quick also!20201002_182551.jpg20201002_182551.jpg20200906_144004.jpg20200906_184846.jpg

Windy, can you give some update on how your conversion turned out? I’m still looking to get way more out of my oil rig

Windy, I'd also like to hear how your conversion turned out and what your boil rate is like with the Carlin 201? I'm strongly considering converting my arch and getting different pans or selling my entire evaporator and going with a new oil burning evaporator.

The conversion was as close as it could be I'd say, we were very happy with it, 9 minutes from throwing the switch and full boil from front to back, the consistency was great, I'd say we are still right around 75 gph, we are feeding it with 18%, the stack stays right at 715, if you would like to see videos of it, check them out on our Facebook page Windy Acres Maple Syrup LLC
