    Default 2x8 oil conversion

    Looking for some input/ measurements, we are going to convert our A&A 2x8 to oil for next season, I'm looking for how far it should be below the pans, how far the tube should extend into the firebox, nozzle size, pressure, changes to firebox, etc., thanks in advance!
    A&A 2x8 raised flue with hoods and preheater, converted to oil with carlin 201 for 2021
    8x12 kitchen
    8x12 canning room
    H20 7.5 1200 Econox for 2018 added 2nd membrane for 2020
    H2O 10" filter press half bank
    H2O 2430 gallon storage tank
    700+ 5/16 on vacuum, 1000+ on 3/16

    Father and Son has a 2 x 8 oil he might be able to give you some numbers.

    Without looking, on the inside I’m pretty sure the gun is flush with the ceramic blanket but the diverter ring sticks past the blanket.
    I will go out tomorrow and measure how far the gun is below the top of the arch

    Same on mine. How far I dont remember but could check on the next pan turn

    Here’s the pictures of the gun placement. The center of the gun is 10” from the top of the arch.

    Thank you, and how's the ramp inside the arch, a wall or a steep ramp, and how much of the flues are exposed?

    Windy Acres,
    I was told when you are setting up a ramp it should come up at the 1/3 distance on the flue pan.
    5ft = 60”, 1/3 of 60 is 20” back on the flue pan.
