    Default Pulling the plug early.

I've only had about 3 good runs so far and the forecast looks great , but I'm shutting down. I have family out of state that cant get out to shop, all in the high risk group. I will help them as long as needed and i don't know how long that will be. So down she goes. Just got the pans sweet and made about 15 gallons, about 25 % of average. I am bringing 5 gallon of unfinished sweet and my warming pan to finish it in for entertainment. Thought it was bad last year (it was) when my dog died suddenly mid season, oh well. Good luck everyone and be safe.

Sorry about but you are doing the right thing. Syrup will be there next year but this pandemic is a killer.

Good for you, your reward will come in the end.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
