Default Bottling out of a cdl 12" vacuum filter?

I exchanged my unused 9" for a 12" model. The 12" does not have a thermometer port which surprised me. The site glass is also huge. I wonder if the large site glass connected to the drain would cool my syrup as I bottle? I would also have to reduce the size of the outlet. Here is a pic of the two next to each other.

Are you going to be able to keep the temperature high enough after filtering to bottle? Experience with my homemade vacuum filter is, the filtering process takes long enough that the syrup will cool down. Could you set the filter on a hot plate to keep the syrup hot?

Kind of a pricey addition, but you could consider adding something like this controlled wrap around heater...

    Jason,
Thanks for the update. Look shiny. lots of latches and valves! Looks to be ready for the launching pad! Seems you could set it on a hot plate to bring syrup up to temp??
Let us know. Any big reason for the upgrade to the larger unit?

Chris I like to bottle larger amounts at one time and I was worried the 9" would be too small. Like the 9" this one can be heated on a burner, I'm just concerned the large site glass will cool off my syrup when bottling.

Was eyeballing these at CDL today. Can you give me a quick run down of how it works and how you like it?

If you were just heating you syrup back up how hot would you have to get it?
