Anybody purchased one yet and care to share likes and dislikes? Concept seems neat and no need for bricking, just wondering how it performs as a sap boiler and how much the unit weighs mostly. Thank you.

I am wondering the same thing. They are sold out at Bascoms, is that a good sign?
I believe if you check some of the other companies, ie., Thor, Smoky Lake, Bill Mason, etc... You may find that you can get an actual evaporator for what you are going to pay for the Evap-O-Grill. I am not saying it's not an actual evaporator, just that one of the others is more dedicated to maple syrup processing.
2004 - 2012 2x3 flat pan 25 to 60 taps
2012 2x3 new divided pan w/draw off 55 taps
2018 - didn't boil surgery - bought new evaporator
2019 new SML 2x4 raised flue high output evap. 65 taps
made 17 gal. syrup
2020 - only put out 53 taps - made 16.25 ga.l syrup
2021 - Didn't work out
2022 - 25 taps on bags / 8 taps on 3/16's line - late start
The appeal is you can use it year-round. very popular item but not enough help to get them made. Stock on this is not readily available when I get them in, they are already sold. best thing to do is have Brandy in Wilton or another close dealer order one. If you ordered today delivery is mid-March
