My Taps are going in today looking at this 4 day forecast.
2017 - 1 tree Boiled on gas grill. Best Syrup I've ever had in my life. Hooked for life
2018 - 25 trees 55 gallon drum. 30X20X6 divided SS pan. Drop tubes into buckets w/lids. Made 8 gallons
2019 - Didn't collect any wood. Helped neighbor start his sugaring addiction using my trees.
    2020 - planning on 25 - 40 trees. New additions are RO Bucket RB10 and 2 275 storage tanks.
    Only boil on weekends

Here’s a range report for anyone who is interested. 29 taps in by 2pm and around 7pm, accumulating was about 15 gallons. So not bad for 5 hrs. The ones in the sun were dripping good.

I put 8 taps on 5 gallon buckets ob my dads property in his sugar maples and another 33 in my woods on bag holders last weekend and collected just shy of 50 gallons to work with for my 1st boil on Saturday in Grawn. The sap was still dripping as I was collecting on Tuesday afternoon but I am sure it has stopped now.20200225_170112.jpg

I’m glade I started early this year as it helped me work out the bugs in my updated setup. Ended up throwing out it loosing about 30 gallons of sap because of stupidity, but have now collected over 270 gallons so far from 30 taps. Still running strong in the tc area.
