Tapped today 12 trees 18 taps. Probably too early. Nephew and friends son helped. They loved it. Maybe the breakfast more than the work
I had planned to start tapping, but 20 plus inches more of snow and -20f temperatures changed things a little.
If your weather is right tap them, I tapped Feb. 1st and had four good running days. Turned cold now and no flow but looks like 2/16 will start another good round.

Tapped Feb 1. 600 gallons of sap thus far.
Its looking cold here the next few days but starting next week we should get some more good runs.
2024 - 160 taps, Shurflo 4048. Sap Sucker 4-D. Mason 2x4 Raised Flue. 5x400 RO.
2023 - 121 taps. Shurflo 4008. Sap Sucker 4-D. Mason 2x4 XL, 4x150 RO. 20 gallons.
2022 - 103 taps. Shurflo 4008. Sap Sucker 4-D. Mason 2x4 XL, 4x150 RO. 23 gallons.
2021 - 77 taps on Shurflo 4008. Sap Sucker 4-D. Mason 2x4 XL, 4x150 RO. 22 gallons.
2020 - 70ish taps on Shurflo 4008. Mason 2x4 XL. DIY R.O. ~24 gallons.
