    Default Line viper

Just watched the Line Viper video. Looks like a great tool. Does anyone have any experience with the LV? Wondering if a person could use it on 3/16 tubing.

    Thanks

The one I have works for 5/16 only. Being left handed it took me a bit to get myself uses to it. It work very well.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Line Viper. That with a set of tension hooks should take care of most tasks.

I purchased mine last month from H20 Innovation Maple in Swanton VT for $100. I bought the Line Viper to use to install drop lines onto the single use clear poly spouts. I tried it out several times and worked very well. I had to do something different to install the drop lines because in the past, after pushing 500 or 600 of the drops on in one day, my wrist would hurt real bad.

Unlike other one handed tools, the Line Viper has a 1/4" notched push late that will fit between the tree bark and the clear spout ring.

Thanks all, I sent a note to Roth to see if they are carrying the LV in 3/16. Waiting on their reply.

When I purchased my Line Viper, I talked with the guy who invented the line viper. I asked if it worked on both 5/16 and 3/16. He said it is designed for 5/16 but it does work on most 3/16 but they were doing more research with the line viper and 3/16. There was one 3/16 tubing that he said it wouldn't work on but I can't remember what manufacture. I remember he said it works on CDL 3/16 because that's the brand of tubing I use. According to th owner of Line Viper, the tool works on most 3/16 except for the narrower walled 3/16.

I purchased a LineViper. I’ll take my 1 handler over it any day. They are heavy, bulky and awkward to use. Tried pushing on spouts while making drops, pretty sure they would all leaks (using 110degree DG disposables). Not sure what this issue is, however it looks like the metal plate was welded in the wrong position causing the spout to be well below the tubing when in motion. Far from a linear action as advertised. Maybe it’s the left handed user (me) lol. Going to give it another shot in the woods before I decide to sell it.
