Default Pump motor for 240 god procon series 5

I just picked up a 240 procon pump. I have been reading here and see I need a 48y frame to be able to clamp directly onto the pump but they o love you go to 3/4. Ive read a 1 hp pump will better suit the procon to help it get to 250 psi but that is a 56c frame with some type of adapter needed.

Where is a good place to get a pump motor for the procon? Cheaper is better. I do t process a ton of sap but Time is my biggest enemy with boiling. Currently I have a 4 x 400 gpd RO bucket type system but it stops just a bit short of 180 psi with two aquatec pumps. I was thinking of running this system with the new pump this year and next year do the 2521, 2540 or 4040 membranes.

Would the aquatec be suitable for a feed pump to the procon?

Thanks for the adapter number. I have been searching just wasnt sure on the motor as they all have different descriptions. I prob made it more complicated than it is.

So I’ve had a difficult time locating the adapter to go from procon clamp to 56c. A couple places listed it but it was out of stock at $75-$90. I came across Kleen-Rite and located the clamp to 56c housing without the coupling for the motor shaft to the procon slotted shaft. I did some searching and I don’t know how I did it but I found Kleen-Rites product number for the coupling. I will attach both links. I think it comes out to <$40 plus shipping. Great deal.

    Housing 56c to clamp $16

Coupling 56c to procon clamp slotted shaft $23

I hope this helps someone else locate the parts and save some money too!

The $16 link looks right. Thats an awesome price id buy 2. Sometimes the key breaks or the plastic part where it clamps breaks. Always good to have spare

SonI bought a Dayton 1hp 56c to run my pump. It arrived yesterday, It doesn’t have a mounting base to sit the motor on. I’ve searched for bases and can’t find anything. Any suggestions on how to mount this motor?

The 56c frame is a direct face mount. There is no mounting base available.
