Recommendations for a good forester on a sugarbush in eau claire county
Bought a new 40 acre parcel of land. Found 600 easy to tap maples but it needs to be thinned and maintained better. Anyone have any references for a good forester or logging company? Land is south of cadott 10 miles in eau claire county.
I want to keep 25% non maple trees and thin out around the good maples. I've recently learned to no open up trees on more than 1 or 2 sides. Tubing is going in this winter for spring production on about 1/3 of the taps. I'll probably take care of that area myself for firewood. I have this, a shack, and firewood to stock up on before spring so time to get moving. Work is slow at the moment but it should be full swing when our next project starts.
