Sorry to here that Russ. Seems like they would be able to sell those parts rather than having to replace the whole pump. Unless you found other things damaged in the pump.

I took it apart because the upper bearing in the motor was bad and the pump started leaking toward the end of last season. My pump is a 2 piece pump which is older and the impellers aren't available for it. If I had the newer 1 piece pump I could get them. The seals and bearings are available and if my impellers weren't cracked I could fix it.
If I had known last year when I put over $2000 into repairing the membrane pump and adding a second tower that I would be putting another $2000 into it this year I would have traded it for a new one. The repairs will make it easier to sell in a couple of years when I sell out and move to NC.

Tapping the same trees my great, great and great grandfathers tapped.
I also had a very good December, sold lots of syrup. At my only retail outlet I more than tripled my sales, my online sales were good too as well as out of my home. By far my best Christmas sales ever.
I also ran out of 1/2 gal jugs, will need to buy more this week since I need to restock my shelves, both at home and my retail outlet. I start fixing lines and removing trees and limbs next week. Then I am adding up to maybe 100 more taps, most if not all will be on Reds.
I hope everyone has a great New Year!
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
A great weekend here in Maine as well. We got 1000’ of 1” mainline up and tensioned on a new piece of property with around 120 taps. Yearly lease cost is 2 quarts of syrup! Need to run laterals, drops and get it ready to go. We have 3-4 days of woods work and 2-3 days of work at the shack to be ready. We are way ahead of where we usually are mainly due to the lack of snow in the woods. 2x2 syrup pan is going to the welding shop to make it a 4 channel pan instead of 2 big channels. Keep your lines tight!
Yes I did say that I'm moving to NC. My son and daughter both live down there and have no plans to move back up here. We have a granddaughter that is due on Valentines Day. My wife and I will be retiring soon and want to be where it's warm and to help raise (spoil) our granddaughter.
