Thanks! Is this the 2x3 XL or the regular 2x3? I'm not sure if there's actually a difference in the firebox, as I've never seen either in person.

Thanks for the share! Mine should be ready sometime in December. Can't wait. Did you use any full bricks, or all half bricks? How many bricks did you use?

From the photos on the website, it looks like the evaporator is stepped up in the back half. But yours clearly is not. I'm wondering if that's a difference between standard and XL?

I used full bricks on the bottom and for the divider wall then halves on the walls. I used 26 fulls and 37 halves. I got a couple extra just in case and returned the unused ones. If you have any more questions let em rip!

So the website is a little misleading and tricky to understand. The photos are of a 2x4 being bricked except for the last photo which is a 2x3 all bricked. The differences between the standard and XL are with the pan and preheater setup and it is stepped up in the back.

Thanks for the reply BlueMaple. The website is a little misleading but I did catch that last photo. Just hard to differentiate where the full/half were used and how many. Thanks!

So yours is *not* an XL, right? And the 2x3 XL is stepped up on the back, right? The bricking for that one would then be different from yours.

    Thanks!
