First run of the fall tapping season just finished - 22 hrs and 1.1 Gpt came in, we dumped about the first 1000 gallons of sap and collected about 8000 to boil. I dont think we will start up the evaporator till Monday so we can focus on the bush. We managed to get the vacuum up to between 22-26 inches throughout, still a little more work to do.
Looks like the next couple days will all have great flow conditions.
Our goal is to get about 0.5 L Syrup per tap in the fall (about 0.13 Gallons per tap)

It is quite disappointing. We measured about 1.1% throughout the last week.
Flow rates were quite good, we have collected close to 3 Gpt now. It did not flow well over the weekend, things never really got going during the day thaw, but we got a good run Monday through to Tuesday evening and then some more on Wednesday. Everything is frozen up now; waiting for the next thaw, nothing in the forecast...

We have just under 1000L syrup made so far, boiling the last bit today.
