    Default 52 years

Today my wife and I celebrate our 52nd anniversary. We got married Friday the 13th of Oct 1967 in a candle light service at St. Theresa's RC church in Munnsville, NY. That church was permanently closed a few years ago, but we're still married. It has been a great marriage, maybe because we each allow the other to follow their dreams. That's likely why our front yard is a fruit and vegetable garden (even though we live in a nice residential area of town) Among other things we have strawberries, fruit trees, onions, beets, lettuce, blueberries, tomatoes and several other fruits and vegetables, in the front yard, between 2 driveways. We also have 4.5 acres of blueberries at another location and by the sugarhouse we have another acre or so of more gardens. Then we have the sugarhouse and my shop out back of the big garden. Now I'm planning to get into blacksmithing. My wife doesn't ask why, she just says OK.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

    Dave,
Congratulations to you and your wife on your 52 years of wedded bliss. My wife and I celebrated our 40th this year. So many young couples now don't look at marriage like we did when we took our vows. It bothers me when I hear how they talk only after a short time together. I am very happy for you and your wife on your continued expansion and good luck with the blacksmith shop.

Thanks. It seems to me "for better or for worse, til death do us part" should mean a long time.

Congrats Dave, that's really great, I've been married 5 years this year, not sure I will live another 47 but I'm going to give it a shot.

Thank you all. The best thing to keep your marriage strong is to listen to the other and never go to bed mad. Some hugs during the day help too!

Congratulations Dave. My wife and I were also married on a Friday the 13th...very deliberately, although it really freaked out some of our relatives. Turned out to be lucky for us too -- 37 years so far.
