    Default Poly tank repair

I have a 450 gallon poly tank that has a 2 inch crack right beside the bulkhead fitting. Who knows how to fix it ???

I would guess you have a 2" bulk head fitting. Norwesco tanks also utilize 3" and 4" bulkhead fittings and I would think there are bigger ones available. Could you remove the 2" and then make the hole big enough for the 3" or 4" which would "eliminate" the crack?

look for a plastic weld shop. making a bigger hole will be a pain and not end the crack line

Actually as long as the entire crack was eliminated by the new hole you should be fine.

again far better to weld it, the crack has a path that goes much farther than you can see.

If you want to learn how to fix or repair poly tanks yourself and have nobody nearby, just google "poly tank repair". Theres different stuff for sale, and different repair methods.
If you're not familiar, the welding referred to above is not the sparks flying, way bright light, melt metal heat that is metal welding. The only time I've done it I used a heat gun and some melt in the crack poly stuff. You might want to practice on some scrap poly first to see how it works. good luck.

I had a poly tank with a 4 inch slit made by a pallet fork. My son in law welded it with hair dryer and plastic weld ten years ago. Still holding well. Look on youtube for plastic weld info
