Default Fire Brick - Where to buy

    Hey All,

Time to start thinking about bricking the Mason 2x4 XL.
Where is the best place to buy fire brick?
    I'm in CT.
    All help is appreciated.
    Best,
    Bryan

In my area I found fire brick far cheaper at a cement, and block yard, the type where a mason would go. Retail stores mark them up far too much and maple suppliers are the highest. That being said, I found the best price for ready mixed refractory cement at maple dealers. This experience is from about 15 years ago, have not needed any since.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

As maple flats stated, best price I have found is from a brick/stone yard. They will have full and splits.

Compare that to Leader, $2.70 for full bricks and $2.48 for half thick.

    Hey Bryan,

Yes, Weston / Westbrook is a haul. O&G Showcase & Mason Supply is under an hour.

    Thanks for the tip!
