    Hi Ya'll

I was curious if anyone has tried to use an old cook stove as a fire box for evaporating syrup ? I am thinking of attempting it but couldn't find any pictures or videos of an outfit like that. Any thoughts ?

If you are thinking of a cast iron kitchen stove probably not the best way, but my neighbor used a wonder wood or ashley cabinet style stove. The rectangle kind with a jacket around it. He removed the top so the fire was exposed directly to the bottom of one of my 18x30" finish pans that was almost a perfect fit. He made 15 gallons using about a cord of wood.
