    Default Plenty of firewood.

16 tornados ripped thru Wisconsin last Friday and Saturday, pretty sure I know where one touched down. I had a crew of 7, family and friends. We opened up 1 1/2 miles of woods roads. It wont be much fun carrying buckets this year.
1960 - 1970s 70 taps on galvanized buckets with Dad and Grandpa.
    1970s - 1985 Acted crazy!
    1986 - 2005 20-30 buckets.
    2006- 2017 70 buckets and bags
    2017-2019 100 bags and buckets
2020 Finally retired!!! 75 buckets, 50-75 on tubing. RO Bucket, New 12 X 16 Shack and a 42X42 flat pan.
2021-Adding another 125 taps along with a second RO bucket.

I'm guessing between 500-750 trees down.

That does suck. If you've ever thought about harvesting your land, it might be a good time. Find a logging contractor who chips up the slash and they will clean it all up for you.

Wow, what a mess. For what you will be burning next season, get it bucked, split and stacked asap, then make sure it is stacked where it will get both sun and good air circulation, this is late to process wood for 2020.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

I already have enough wood cut and split ready for 2020- 2022 for home and Sugaring. Most of this wood will be for 2023 and after. A forester is going out to look at the property tomorrow to survey. Since its mostly uprooted and not snapped, he feels that there still will be lumber value. I'm only hoping!
