Pretty impressive Reid. I saw one of your little guys on the ladder giving you a hand, great smile on his face. Keep up the good work. Season will be here before we know it.

Nice looking shack you got there. You should be all set for this season if we ever get some cold weather to settle in. Nice to see another hobby producer down on the southeast coast in CT.

Did you decide on a cupola for show? It adds to the look of a sugarhouse, you could even make one that is non functional, no opening doors (vents), then vent the steam out a steam pipe in the peak of the cupola.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

I would recommend a cupola - not for show - but to keep that shack clear of steam so you can see what you're doing.

Either that or a steam stack and small hood. That could get dangerous in there with steam build-up. At times, you may not be able to see the hand in front of your face...

    reid,
That should boil good and keep you toasty and dry too. The steam stack will get a lot of the steam out too.
    Keep boiling.
