    Default Simple green cleaner

Anyone use simple green cleaner for sanitizing tanks and what not? I bought some because I couldn't find any bleach for cleaning out my tanks before the sap starts running again this week and I just opened the jug of simple green and it's got an odor to it that I'm afraid the sap might pick up, it's not a horrible smell but stronger then I would have thought, the odor is a sanitizing type odor.

Simple Green's odor always reminded me of black licorice!

I would NOT recommend using it. The odor is fairly strong and seems to stick around after rinsing. It'll likely be concentrated in boiling. If you use bleach...use UNSCENTED bleach.

Save the Simple Green for the garage. It works really well at getting the greasy gunk off of power machinery, mowers and such but it stinks.
