    Lot of frozen sap in buckets this morning. Going to be a challenge to collect and boil down.

    Just checking in with other yooper sugar makers. Im tapping by Stanley lake in iron country. Drilled on Feb 28th and did first boil on March 8th. Delt with thawing ice out of totes also, hopefully that's not going to happen every weekend. First year for me, lots to learn im sure
    2020 first season ever, wife to be said she wanted to give out maple syrup @ upcoming wedding. I get carried away easy.
    100 taps on 3/16. 30 buckets. 12x20 sugar shack. 3x4 flat pan on barrel arch. Rb 20 kit RO. Tapping in iron county Michigan.

    I tapped on Saturday. The forecast drew me in.
    47 Degrees North
    2016 - 5 jugs - 1 gal - propane
    2017 - 45 jugs - 6 gal
    2018 - 33 jugs and buckets - 5.5 gal
    2019 - 9 buckets and 15 on 3/16 - 9.5 gal - wood
