I am north of Brighton and I put in 15 buckets on Saturday, I was a bit Leary due to the wind storm they were calling for, but I did it anyhow lol, went and checked everything tonight to see if they all had blown to the next province but they were all still there, only one was empty the rest were about half full of frozen sap, so must have had a bit of a run Sunday.

The weather forecast is a double-edged knife....I’m glad because I’m not ready, however it fuels my procrastination of gettting everything ready haha.

Yeah ditto Corey, but if it's going to be a week or two late tapping, then that's going to make a big difference on how many trees I tap...4 or 8.

Forecast is picking up now.. March Break looking at above zero temps starting Monday the 11th.. overnight lows not that cold (is that better? -2 for Wed/Thurs). That timing is perfect for me as I'm planning on getting all my taps out the weekend before.

Looked at the historical forecast on TWN. Last march we had 13 days with above zero temps in Feb. This year only 5 days..

After last year's season being 8 weeks long and never really running hard I'm totally OK with a short and fast 4 week season!
