I pulled the taps on Sunday. The sap was still clear and 2.8%. We sure started slow but had a great last 2 weeks. 900 gallons of sap less than last year, but higher brix and better yield. Hardly any bugs to deal with. We ended up with 40 gallons of syrup. Now the clean up.
Overall a good season, I think the quality of our syrup was the best we’ve produced.
