Default This years weather similar to the polar vortex weather of 2013/2014

As I woke up this morning an found it was -16 outside my thoughts of 5 years ago's weather came to my mind.

What was Michigan's syrup season like in 2014 after the "Polar Vortex's" subsided? Was the season very short because it was cold for so long and then it was spring or did it end up being a "normal" year.

    Thanks

It was a very late season, we didn't tap until March 17th at the family farm in Carson city, just up the road from you. Lots of snow. Made syrup until the 12th of April. Sugar content was good and had an average year for us of just over 400 gallons. It was fast and furious.
