How is everyone's sugar content this year? Mine has run between 1.0 and 1.4. According to my records, much lower than last year.

I didn't measure it but , mine seems to be pretty good or at least the amount of finished syrup exceeded my expectations.

I believe the fat lady has sang down here. Im afraid by the time we another cold snap the maples will be budded out. How bout up there?

Looks like the 2019 maple season is finished or nearly finished. I pulled our taps yesterday. I'm hearing that others across the SE portion of KY completing their last evaporation or have already cleaned things up for the year.
