Default Screens/filters for sap in IBC Totes

I am building a sap collecting trailer to go behind my tractor and I am using an IBC tote for the tank. I am using more buckets this year in addition to my tubing lines so I would like to filter my sap. Does anyone make or use any type of screens or filters that will fit in the opening of an IBC tote and still leave the threads usable for securing the cap back on? What mesh size should I look for?

I bought I large funnel with a screen in it that screws right into the 2" threading that is is on the IBC cap.

My IBC caps have no threading on them other than the threads that attach the cap to the tote...? Did you buy different caps as well?

    Like this? https://www.leaderevaporator.com/p-2...ilter-bag.aspx
It also needs one of these if filtering from a mainline http://www.leaderevaporator.com/p-25...lter-head.aspx
If just going into t tote, there is a stiff wire hemmed in around the mouth, that may hold it from falling in. If it looks too small. make something to hold it. You might also want a large barrel funnel to dump into rather than needing to hit a 6" hole as you dump buckets
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

Mine did have one 2" opening, but I did buy a couple new caps with two 2" inch threading ports on them. I ran six or seven 3/16" tubing line into one port, and had that funnel on the second port so I could dump nearby by buckets into the tank without removing the cap.

Finally found one like I got. Ebay used to be full of them, but I can't seem to find one there at the moment.

What I did on my IBC tote was used a cone pre filter and stuck it inside the hole of the tote then threaded my
Cap back on over top a bit of the filter and worked for me

I also had a barrel on my collection trailer that pumped into my IBC tote so we didn’t lose as much sap dumping buckets in
The tote hole ,.. I would put a cone filter on the end of the suction line as a screen and filter ....... just make sure you take those filters out daily rinse them or put new ones on , I rinse mine once or twice then throw them away

I have been using milk filters from fleet farm for filtering sap. Cheap and sap runs through nice.
2 X 6 Smoky Lake with auto draw and reverse flow

2017 82 on gravity and 31 on drops to buckets
