    Default sp 22 help.

How many gallons does an sp22 vacuum pump take. I have a gallon in it at this moment and can't see it on the filler tube. Thanks

If you are asking about the crankcase oil it only takes a little over a quart to fill it.

A SP 22 should take 2 qts. If you can't see in your tube then the t at bottom of crank case is plugged

I run mine at 26.5" and yes it does get hot. I use Castrol Edge 5W-30 synthetic motor oil in it and it hasn't burned up on me. It is outside under my head tank platform so it gets plenty of air to keep it from overheating.
