    Hi Everyone

New to the forum. My wife and I grew up around sugar shacks and two years ago decided our girls needed to experience it first hand so we built a shack, bought an evaporator and are loving every minute of it. I quickly came to realize that running a sugar shack involved more than dumping buckets! I've been lurking on the site for awhile so even though my wife say's that I now officially have syrup on the brain look forward to the wealth of knowledge that is available on the site. Thanks for having us!

Welcome Rob and family. Where in Ontario are you sugaring? It's been boom or bust depending on where you call home this year.

Hi Karen thanks. We are in Bancroft. Definitely a slow year here. Going to pull everything on Sunday after one last boil. Been tapped since the March Break and only gathered under 1000 liters off 150 buckets. Looks like you have a decent year! Should stop snowing here just in time for the blackflies. Thanks again for the welcome.
