Default Mr 5 inch filter press in action making syrup (Shut down mode)

    Folks,
Daryl invited me down the other night to see his operation. He made 5 gallons of syrup in a hour while I was there. These are some action pictures of him shutting down and pulling the fire from the 2 x 6 after 95% of the sap had been boiled to syrup..
Sorry they are blurry, he doesn't slow down much! He pulls the fire after each boil. I dont think many folks do this. Just thought folks on here might like to see it and or have comments. I warned him I was going to make him famous!

    Regards,
    Chris

The head tank only has several gallons in it when the fire is pulled. The blowers are kept on for another 1/2 hour and every thing is set for the night.
I started with about 500 gallons of sap and started the RO at 5:00 and had about 55 gallons in the head tank shortly after 6:30. The fire was started at 6:45 and done by 8:00 when these pictures were taken.
Thanks Chris for coming over the other evening.
